Learn more about the Action Plan being developed for the Mid-Atlantic Ocean at a Healthy Ocean workshop and Q&A session on Wednesday, Aug. 10 in Belmar, NJ. The American Littoral Society and Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC) invite you to join us at the Beach Haus Brewery, 801 Main Street, Belmar, NJ for a free information session on the draft Mid-Atlantic Ocean Action Plan. The event will run from 7-8:30 p.m. Light refreshments and sign-in starts at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited and reservations are required. A historic plan is being developed to manage the Great Lakes and oceans off the US coast. The Mid-Atlantic Ocean Action Plan will guide regulation and use of the Atlantic Ocean from New York to Virginia. A draft of that plan has been released and is open for public input until Sept. 6, 2016.
The Littoral Society and ANJEC are working to ensure that plan protects the ocean that we love and need. We believe that strong, science-based ocean planning that is crucial for the Mid-Atlantic region’s economy and environment.
Your voice is important because public input can help shape the Mid Atlantic Ocean Action Plan. You can help us make sure that the ocean ecosystem is protected in the final plan that is submitted to the federal government for adoption this fall. This is FREE event.
